Abstract

The purpose of this study is to verify the educational effect of the ‘hidden country activity’ designed as a ‘global leadership fostering activity’ for geography classes. To this end, this study summarizes ‘hidden-country activity’ for geography classes and multicultural activities, and examines how discussions of cultural intelligence and self-efficacy have been conducted in relation to global leadership. Based on the results of actually measuring cultural intelligence and self-efficacy of students majoring in geography education, the educational effect of ‘hidden-country activity’ was examined. This study is expected to contribute to the study of global leadership in the field of geography education as a study to demonstrate the effectiveness of the previously developed ‘global leadership fostering activity’ for geography classes.

본 연구의 목적은 지리수업을 위한 ‘글로벌 리더십 함양 활동’으로 고안된 ‘히든 컨트리 활동’의 교육효과를 검증하는 것에 있다. 이를 위해 본 연구는 다문화 활동과 지리수업을 위한 ‘히든 컨트리 활동’에 대해 정리하고, 글로벌 리더십과 관련하여 문화지능과 자기효능감 논의가 어떻게 이루어지고 있는지 살펴보았다. 그리고 지리교육과 대학생들을 대상으로 문화지능과 자기효능감을 실제로 측정한 결과를 바탕으로, ‘히든 컨트리 활동’의 교육효과를 확인하였다. 본 연구는 기개발된 지리수업을 위한 ‘글로벌 리더십 함양 활동’의 효과를 실증하는 연구로 지리교육 영역에서의 글로벌 리더십 연구에 기여할 것으로 기대된다.
