The purpose of this study is to introduce the changes in Chinese 2022 revised compulsory curriculum and analyze the relationship between upper secondary and middle school curriculum according to the changes, and to explore the linkages between elementary and middle school geography content. The Chinese Ministry of Education promulgated the “double reduction” policy and successively promoted teaching reforms in the 2022 compulsory curriculum. Compared with the 2011 compulsory curriculum, the revised compulsory curriculum has brought about qualitative changes in terms of curriculum goals and content. In particular, the curriculum reform was deepened by establishing interdisciplinary subject learning, and the core competencies were organically connected to the curriculum content by adding new academic quality. The appendix is designed to implement the core competencies, ensure the practicality of geography learning, and promote the all-round development of students. The revised compulsory school curriculum and the advanced middle school curriculum have a common curriculum goal of core competencies and are closely linked in curriculum content, and the learning content at different school levels shows a spiral upward structure, indicating a gradual deepening.
